Hella Gay Comedy Show - Oct 14th, 2011 Recap

We just finished another Hella Gay Comedy Show in Oakland this past weekend and we sold that bitch out, it was also standing room only.

The word must've really gotten out about our shows because the LGBT community was there in full force.

I asked one of the audience members how they heard about the show and she said, "we were on the bus not knowing what to do because our plans changed but then somebody suggested we attend the Hella Gay Comedy Show" .

Now that's some shit huh.

Here's a quick recap of how it went down!

Dolores Trevino opened the show, she's an old school regular from the Valencia Rose and Josie Cabaret days.

Next up was Cassandra Gorgeous and that she was. The audience was very finicky but she cracked them wide open and didn't look back.

Jenn Dronsky took the stage and was a sheer delight!

Rajeev Dhar was our visiting metrosexual comedian and charmed the gays right out've their pants, as if they needed charming.

Anchoring the middle of the show was Morgan, who clearly was the crowd favorite and had the best set of the night.

Kollin Holtz brought the funny by doing a hilarious spin on a Harry Potter character called Larry Potter.

Nick Leornard, the creator of QComedy.com also had one of the best sets of the night with his adorable bear jokes!

We had an opera singer for the very first show and I really didn't think anyone was going to be able to top the class level the opera singer brought to our show, well guess what, I was wrong. Erin Beber did a Judy Garland monologue and sang a couple songs in Judy's voice, it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. Erin literally had the gays wrapped around her finger!

Justin Lucas, a fast rising Filipino queer comedian from the Bay Area also did another character monologue called Ping Pong. I love Ping!

Rounding out the show was the ever lovable Kristee Ono, she was great!

Thanks to everyone who perform and attended!

xoxo
