#occupyoakland Protest

Earlier the City of Oakland erected a fence around the encampment, where the Oakland Riot police forced the peaceful protestors from their tents with tear gas and rubber bullets.

About 2 hours ago, tonight's protestors took down the steel fence and we all know it's juat a matter of time before the Riot Police team comeback.

For now, the protesters are upbeat and chanting.

Here are some picture courtesy of the East Bay Express, which is a progressive newspaper from Oakland East Bay area.

"Oakland Commune - Oscar Grant Plaza"
Protesters want to rename the Oakland City Plaze after Oscar Grant, who was shot and killed by BART police on New Year's Eve last year.
